1. Introduction

Psychly is provided by Tunahan Aktay (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The app teaches psychology through short courses, articles, book summaries and stories of famous experiments, and offers meditation, visualization, breathing and focus timers, plus a monthly mood calendar. This policy explains how the app handles information. You do not need an account to use the app. The app shows no advertising. Using the app is not itself consent to every practice described in this policy.

2. Who We Are

3. Information That Stays on Your Device

The mood you pick for a day in the mood calendar is saved in the app’s storage on your device. The calendar shows the current month; when a new month begins, the app starts a fresh calendar and earlier months are no longer shown. Your onboarding answers and app preferences are also stored on the device.

We do not receive these entries, and they are not part of the analytics described below. Deleting the app removes them. Your device’s own backups may include app data under your Apple settings.

4. Information the App Processes

Identifiers and usage

Firebase Analytics uses app identifiers and processes app interactions, such as which exercise or timer you start, together with device and app information and approximate location derived from IP addresses. Mixpanel records app opens, sessions, updates and in-app purchase events automatically, under a random identifier the Mixpanel SDK creates on your device, with approximate location derived from your IP address. Neither service receives the moods you record. We use this information to understand usage and improve the app. The app does not request precise device location.

We do not link analytics identifiers to a name, email address or account you create with us. Records associated with an identifier are not necessarily anonymous.

Purchases

Apple and RevenueCat process purchase history and identifiers to provide subscriptions, restore purchases and help us understand purchasing trends. RevenueCat also receives Apple’s install attribution token to identify installs from Apple Search Ads campaigns. We do not receive your payment card details.

Diagnostics and configuration

Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports, technical device information and installation identifiers to help us fix failures. Firebase Remote Config uses installation identifiers to deliver app settings. Service requests also involve network information, such as IP addresses.

Content loaded from the internet

The animated picture at the top of the home screen is loaded from Giphy, which receives your IP address and basic device information, as any web server does when it sends a file. Videos the app suggests open in YouTube, and links to our social media accounts open in those services; each handles your visit under its own privacy policy.

Support

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. A support email prepared by the app includes app and device details to help us investigate your request. Review these details before sending.

5. Third-Party Services

6. Purposes and Retention

We process purchase information to provide your subscription. Where permitted by applicable law, we rely on legitimate interests for app reliability, analytics, configuration and responding to support. Where consent is legally required for particular processing, consent is the applicable basis.

Entries kept on your device remain until you delete the app or its data, as section 3 describes. Providers retain analytics, configuration, diagnostic and purchase records according to their applicable settings, policies and legal obligations. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations.

7. Data Security

All data transmission between your device, our services and third-party providers is encrypted. We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. While no system can guarantee complete security, we continuously work to safeguard your information.

8. Children’s Privacy

Psychly is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, contact us at tunahanaktay.apps@gmail.com and we will help delete it.

9. International Transfers

Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where EU or UK law requires it, these transfers rely on the providers’ data protection terms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including Turkey, the EU, the UK and California, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not link analytics identifiers to your name or email address, we may be unable to find records that belong to you; email us and we will help as far as we can. Entries kept on your device are yours to delete in the app or by removing the app; we hold no copy to export or erase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Withdrawal of consent does not undo processing already performed. We do not sell your personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last Updated” date. If a change is significant, we will announce it in the app or on this page before it takes effect, and ask for consent again where the law requires it.
